Since 1995, Dennis has been providing public accounting services, working with tax compliance and consulting. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Akron in Ohio. Since then, the industries he has served range from manufacturing, wholesale, construction, medical practices, and automotive dealerships.
Dennis started working at Rea & Associates Inc., in Lima, Ohio as a staff accountant and advanced to principal. He dedicated over 18 years to overseeing the tax engagement process, ensuring timely delivery of tax compliance services and financial statements to a diversified client base, as well as providing consulting services to those businesses in both tax planning and overall business operations. His duties included coordinating with specialty tax groups and audit teams regarding multistate and local compliance issues, and supervising all aspects involved in client relationships.
Dennis later worked as a Senior Tax Manager for Barnes Wendling CPAs, in Sandusky, OH. There he managed the business and individual tax practice for the office, assisting clients with the tax controversy life cycle, including prevention, efficient management, and favorable resolution of tax audits and disputes at the federal and state level. He also reviewed federal income tax provisions.
Dennis moved to Tallahassee in 2015 to join the THF tax department. In 2019, he and his family relocated to Bainbridge, GA where Dennis currently serves as the Market Leader in the firm’s Bainbridge office.
